In light of the positive resolutions of lease complications and moving forward strategically, there are some significant changes happening and the our long term future of our sport in Tamworth is locking in solid.
And with growth comes evolution and Tamworth Bouldering is now evolving.
Our whole community will now unite under the one brand Tamworth Hornets Boulder Club. One club. One community under the T4 Boulder League (T4BL) club network.
The Hornets and the Donx clubs will merge to form the Tamworth Hornets. The Honey Badgers are being relocated (watch this space for details coming soon). The new Tamworth Hornets brand will adopt the Donx red colour as the primary theme and the Hornets retain the name.
Our history is important. Nothing is lost. We're proud of it, recognise it and own it as a part of moving forward.
On Sunday 19 Jul from 3pm - 5:30pm we'll be celebrating the merger and re-launch of the Tamworth Hornets. We encourage all current and non-current members, friends and guests to come along. Pull on the shoes or watch the show. Perhaps both.
ALL new boulders are set in preparation for the start of the Winter Season (starting 20 Jul). A recreation session is on across all ages (yr 4+). There's no cost for current adult members and players who have already registered for the season and $20 flat rate (incl hire shoes) for anyone who hasn't.
Plus... there’ll be a showcase exhibition primary game happening on the comp walls from 4-5pm.
This is also an opportunity for us to thank each and every one of you for your recent heartfelt support for helping keep bouldering here in Tamworth. This merger is very much a part of this resolution process.
Moving forward, Tamworth will now have united representative teams playing against teams from other areas and our whole community can band together.
