In Rugby there's a club called the Barbarians - affectionately known as the Baa Baas. It's an invitational club established to promote the camaraderie and spirit of the game, bringing together players from various different clubs without being a part of any formal competition.
We're adopting a similar philosophy to promote inclusion in the T4 Premier format for the Vilimaa Cup games.
The 'Hybrids' will be the name for a handful of players from any of the three local clubs to combine to form a team. This is an alternative to asking players to 'switch' clubs for a game and avoids deserved players sitting on the sidelines.
As such, these teams will be invitational with a collaboration of all three local club coaches. Not all games will have a Hybrid team as priority will go to each club fielding their best possible players for the events. If there is enough players of adequate GPA capacity from any club then this is the priority over forming a Hybrid team.
If you're invited into a Hybrid team then players will be asked to wear their regular club colours for the game. Not applicable for high school 1st grade so this becomes an opportunity for high school 2nd grade and Primary.
